Hello! My name is Sandra Hesketh, co-founder of Brighter Days. Born in New Bedford, MA in 1956 and raised there, I found myself very disillusioned with life at the early age of 18. Like many of my peers, I had tried drugs, sex and a _“free”_ life style only to find that in the end it didn’t satisfy the longing in my heart, that empty space that God made for Him and Him alone.

I graduated from high school and found myself wondering what to do with my life, desperately searching to see if my life really had any meaning.  One day while sitting in the park pondering which road to take (and not thinking very positive thoughts), I saw a young man whom I had known since childhood. Over the course of several weeks, this young man took the time to speak to me of Jesus’ and His never failing love for me, for which I am eternally grateful.

Knowing what a sinner I was and how many things I had done wrong, it was difficult for me at first to accept that Jesus really did love me and that He was waiting for me with open arms.  But He was and is and He is there for you too! The Bible says that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). No matter how well we may think we are doing and how great we think we are, we still need Jesus. No matter how bad and how much of a sinner we know we are, He still loves us and wants us to be with Him forever.

So- at the young age of 18, I left home and country and became a full-time volunteer missionary with The Family International where I dedicated 17 years of my life on the field of Venezuela. I learned to speak fluent Spanish – and participated in full-time missionary work.  One of the many tasks I engaged in was fund-raising for our volunteer work. Since many of our fellow missionaries, composed of over 100 nationalities, are extremely talented musicians, authors and illustrators, we began to produce audio tapes, story-books, videos and more, which have grown into a world-wide company known as Aurora Productions. The sale of these items is one way we have been able to support ourselves while at the same time spreading the Gospel and helping others.

Though I am not engaged in full-time missionary work as before, I have dedicated much of my time to continue to help support foreign missions through the distribution of these wonderful products from Aurora.  Aurora Production publishes an array of inspirational and motivational products. These unique products apply spiritual concepts to everyday living. Our print, audio, video, and multimedia content will help you develop your spiritual life and discover the wonderful, practical benefits of doing so. Children will benefit from our character-building material that entertains while it teaches.

I have personally seen our devotional books, DVDs, music and other materials change and enrich the lives of people of all ages, and I believe wholeheartedly in our inspirational products.  And remember, whatever you spend on these items whether for yourself, for your children or as gifts, you will contribute to foreign missions. Presently, I am connected to a thriving work in Kampala, Uganda sending monthly donations to help their Christian radio ministry and their work with orphan children. I will be posting newsletters from their work from time to time on my blog as well as from other missionary works we are helping to support.

Thank you very much for your interest and desire to help others. We really love you and appreciate you! Please feel free to write or call if you would like more information!
